Countdown to event Toronto 10.01.16

2015 Video is finally here!

December 04, 2015
The entire Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer team wishes to extend its sincere condolences to the family of Trevor DaSilva. Trevor served as an Honorary Chair for the event in 2013 and was an incredibly passionate participant in the program since its inception. Sadly, Trevor passed away on Saturday November 21st at the age of 56. We will all miss Trevor’s infectious spirit, positive energy and gleaming smile.

As you may recall from our opening ceremonies this year, Paul Alofs – President & CEO of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation - asked the question “why are you here today”? We all play in Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer for someone special – maybe it is someone we have lost to the disease or someone currently fighting it. The bottom line is it’s personal and it is what drives us to come together with friends, family and/or colleagues to face off against cancer.

In 2016 Trevor will most definitely be that special someone who many of us will play for as we take on cancer once again – furthering our vision to: Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime.

In honour of Trevor – and all the loved ones we have lost to this disease – we ask that you please share our video with as many people as possible as a reminder that THIS IS WHY WE PLAY.
