Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer team!
Beginning with the Toronto Aeros at 13, Geraldine Heaney went on to star with the team for 18 years. With Geraldine on the blueline, the Aeros won six provincial championships. She also has played on the Canadian national women’s hockey team, helping her squad earn gold seven times at the IIHF World Championships. Heaney and Team Canada won Olympic silver at the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano, bettering that with gold in 2002 in Salt Lake City. In 2013, Geraldine Heaney became only the third woman inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
