Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer has been, and will continue to be a huge success thanks to the incredible Volunteers who selflessly donate their time on Game Day. Sign up as a Volunteer TODAY and join our team of passionate cancer conquerors. There is no registration fee to become a Volunteer.
Game Day Crew Member
If you would like to volunteer for the event – and go the extra mile by fundraising – register as a Game Day Crew Member. When you become a Crew Member you will receive a personal fundraising page on the Road Hockey website, where you can send e-mails to friends and family asking them to help you raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation. There is no fundraising minimum for Game Day Crew, but we challenge you to set an attainable goal and do your best to reach it! Crew Members may also be asked to help with either the set-up or take-down of the event, so please let us know your availability once you register by calling the # below.

Below are the volunteer positions. We will do our best to accommodate requests for positions. Check-In - Assit in Checking-in all Teams, Referees and Volunteers them with provide wristbands, distribute Game-Day bags and information. Register any last minute players that arrive on-site
Welcome team - As Captains & Teams assit them in locating their check-in station. Ensure that all signs are in place and properly positioned throughout the day
Donations Tent - Collect all remaining donations dropped off from players, prior to them checking in. Administer any remaining delayed Self-Pledges
Food & Beverage - Monitor the cleanliness of all tents, place any items in garbage & recycling receptacles as needed, assist in serving food and helping sponsors load in/out (as required)
Celebrity Tent - Assist with the check-in process, assist celebs in finding location of pad/team, introduction to team captains, autograph signing, assist with on-site needs.
Scheduling & Scores - Getting scores from Pad Supervisors, posting scores on boards, bringing scores to stats central, updating division standings
2014 Re-Registration - This position will be stationed at where you'll assit team captains and players in registration for 2014. Gather all their information, provide dri-fit shirts
Pad Supervisor - Ensure games are starting on-time, scheduled teams are playing, track down balls, answer team questions, help the referees, run scores back to Road Hockey Central tent
Traffic & Parking - Ensuring participants know where to park, direct participants to check-in tent, spectators to spectator zone, direct volunteers and VIP’s into their assigned lots
Interactive Zone - Help all sponsors set up on-site. Manage games in the interactive zone, help with crowd control, interact with participants while playing games. Help with management of Silent Auction.
Hydration Station - Help replenish coolers, maintain cleanliness of space & motivate players to keep doing their best
Set-up/Take-Down Crews - A crew of 15-20 people 1-2 days prior & post the event to help set-up tables, chairs, put up signage, place nets, set-up equipment, other important pre-event tasks and another crew of 15-20 to take down after the event
