Q: Who can take part in ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER?

Absolutely anyone 16 or older can take part in the Dawn-to-Dusk Road Hockey event. The event is open to men and women, and all skill levels are welcomed.

Q: How much do I need to raise to play in ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER?

Your team is  required to raise a minimum of $10,000 in order to participate in the event. If your team hasn’t raised at least that amount by Aug. 15, 2012, you can donate the difference by self-pledging to reach the minimum, and then continue fundraising until December 31, 2012. All funds raised go towards cancer research at The Princess Margaret.

Q: Tell me more about Princess Margaret Hospital.

Princess Margaret Hospital and its research arm, the Ontario Cancer Institute, which includes The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute and The Campbell Family Breast Cancer Research Institute, have achieved an international reputation as one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. Princess Margaret Hospital is a member of University Health Network (UHN), which also includes Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital. All three are research hospitals affiliated with the University of Toronto. More information about UHN can be found at www.uhn.ca.

Q: What is the role of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation?

The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation at UHN raises funds for breakthrough research, exemplary teaching and compassionate care at The Princess Margaret and its research arm, the Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI), which includes The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute and The Campbell Family Breast Cancer Research Institute. Q: When are we going to eat? Are vegetarian options available?

No need to pack a lunch, or any other meal for that matter. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will all be provided for participants, volunteers and Game Day Crew only at Ontario Place. Vegetarian options are available at each meal and you can select this option once online check is open closer to GAME DAY. Family members will have to purchase food and beverages if they so desire.
