The policies of ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER will ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants. Safety is of the utmost importance to everyone involved with ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER. We care deeply about the well-being of our Players, Game Day Crew and Volunteers. As a participant, you play a role in not only your own safety, but in the safety of your fellow participants. CLICK HERE for a printable version of the RHCC Rules & Regs RHCC Rules:- Each game will be 3-on-3, plus a one (1) goalie. - Games are 35 minutes in length, consisting of two 15-minute periods and ample time for entrance/exit, as well as warm-up and intermission, to be exercised at the referee’s discretion. - There will be a referee assigned to every game. The referee’s decisions are final. - Sticks cannot be raised above the waist, whether it be backswing, follow-through or in contact with an opponent. - Slapshots are not allowed. - Standard road hockey penalties apply. For every infraction a penalty shot will be assessed against the offending team. - Player substitutions can be made on the fly or at any stoppage in play. - If an injury occurs, plays stops immediately. - Continued unsafe play, overt aggressive play or fighting by an individual may be cause for expulsion from the event with no reimbursement of registration fee or money fundraised. Always keep in mind why we are playing and plan to have fun! - If you are unsure about any of the rules or policies regarding ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER, contact the Road Hockey office for clarification. Competition: ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER is a friendly tournament. There will be several different divisions in which to compete, however, there are no rewards for the team that scores the most goals or wins the most games. There will be a trophy awarded to the team that raises the most funds for ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER. This team will also play in an exhibition contest against a team of celebrities at the conclusion of the tournament. There will also be a trophy awarded to the individual who raises the most money for ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER, as well as the ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER BNN Corporate Challenge Cup, which will be awarded to the top fundraising organization. These three trophies will find their way to a special spot at The Princess Margaret once the winning team(s) or individual has had an opportunity to share it with family and friends.
